According to the German Building Code, the average site values for land must be determined for the entire area (§ 196 BauGB). In München, this is done by an expert committee at two-year intervals. On the basis of purchase price collections, this committee draws up standard land values for comparable properties, which can include individual streets as well as entire city districts. Where can I find the rent index for München?

The City of München’s Citizens‘ Service not only provides the rent index, but also a brochure on operating costs.
